What is it?
The ADJ Nucleus is an amazing LED centerpiece effect with DMX, It features 6 independant scanning mirrors in a circle type formation which all have X and Y movement,
How is it advanced? Previously LED Scanners used a number of LEDs in the same style as a moon flower, but with a moving mirror. Quite a nice effect, inexpensive but doesn€t compare well with top of the line scanners.
With the Nucleus there is 6x 3w TRI-LEDS which mix to create a variety of colours. This might not sound a lot, but each mirror output compares very well with a 250 watt halogen scanner.
The LEDs have a life expectancy of at least 50,000 hours, run cool (virtually no heat generated at all) and the whole unit uses a total of only 60 watts. This means you could put upto 50 of them on one 13amp circuit!!!!
It has amazing inbuilt programmes which create a stunning lightshow!! (master/slave and sound activated) and it has 3, 18 or 22 channels for DMX control (switchable) This means you can control each scanner mirror and colour seperatly
The unit has a metal casing with plastic corners, is well built, robust and fairly light. There is also a simple hand held controller available that will operate one or more of the Nucleus.
What you can use this for
Its low power consumption compared to its bright output, and its lightweight but strong construction means this is great for mobile discos or touring bands. It is also easily good enough to use in clubs and other venues where it€s long lamp life will save you a lot of bother. It looks amazing on the celing or high on a wall in a club or above any dancefloor.

This is a new version of an old type of effect, however.... the programming is just amazing! the way this unit moves to the music impresses everone who visits the RSD showroom. Its without doubt the most talked about lighting product of 2009!!
The reason we like LED lighting is the long led life and the much lower power consumption. When you use a lot of lighting you can quickly exceed the capacity of the 13amp sockets we usually have to plug into. The low power consumption of LEDs means pretty much the same lighting level but a lot less power. Not only is this easier for you but you can claim you€ve gone €green€!
Construction
Lightweight but strong metal casing, Hanging bracket on the back, and all the connections and controls also located on the back (or on the top if you mount it above the dancefloor).
Four button control plus LCD display for DMX addressing and accessing the menu.
